Those of us who have witnessed this Altaf Bhai classic: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHMGLUE_uhE&feature=related often come to ask ourselves how is it that a person who, at best, comes of as a mediocre comic can A) make it as a politician ? and B) be a successful one, capturing the minds of so many people? . The mohajirs after all were one of the most educated classes of Pakistan.....so how can they revere a person such as Altaf bhai so much?
The most oft repeated answer by opponents of MQM is that, Altaf bhais cadres "terrorise" people into voting for his Party. This however, in my own humble opinion is a very simplified understanding of his political support, and this is where parallels can be drawn with another Pakistani party of the 50s.

Karachi is witnessing its worst scenario from the creation of MQM. We r fed up with their terrorist activities.
One must understand the reasons behind the creation and eventual success of MQM in order to stand a chance of defeating it.
Merely chanting "terrorist" wont work.

The caused which for Muhajir Quami movement started has been served and MQM has reminded establisment and every one that there are Muhajirs too who were not being treated rightly in the past.Indeed, MQM is getting popular day by day and still there are so much defamtion tactics going on against them but one must have seen the popularty of MQM in elections when they have got thousands of vote from interior Sindh. Its is the proved that MQM is growing besides of so much conspiracies.
They don't talk about only Muhajir now, and we have so many examples infront of us. One is KALA BAg dam. Karachi one of the most sufferer city of loadshedding but MQM never get off the track of their policy.
Why MQM always chanting slogans aganinst feudilism and still they become part of feudals always. One must understand the difference between fudals and fedualism. MQM is against feudilism. They are not against feudal lords.They wana change the thoughts of people who got elected and who voted those people.they are doing quite better to change the system by sending middleclass in Parliament. Every thing takes time and if MQM keep growing like it is at the moment. We will see one day that system will be changed. As far as their own constituency concerns, they are doing tramendus works in their constituency. The work which was never done in last 60 years. Its has been done by the MQM member of Parliament, mayor and their City Government. Mustafa Kamal, who is working hard and Even critics of MQM aprriciates his works.
